Mykola Tomenko, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the course of the briefing on Thursday commented upon the yesterday events in the session hall. "One of the Deputies that rarely appears in the session hall decided to attend his working place and initiate the Parliament dissolving", - M. Tomenko declared.
Pursuant to the Resolution, the Verkhovna Rada instead of the working in the session hall during 24-25 December the People´s Deputies would work with the voters. The next plenary meeting according to the schedule would be held on 19 January 2010.
Giving comments regarding the adopted Resolution, M. Tomenko has also pointed out the attention on its absurdity as it is proved even by the Resolution text, registered by Yuriy But. Thus, in the explanatory note to the Resolution Draft the initiative to liquidate two plenary days is explained by the following: "The Resolution adoption enables the diversion of the negative consequences connected with the worsening of the meteorologic conditions."
M. Tomenko explained that the parliament was supposed to adopt certain number of issues essential for the state. Moreover, from 1 January 2010 certain laws were supposed to come into force, in particular it concerns the Law of Ukraine "On Basis of the Corruption Prevention", "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the Violation for the Corruption Infringements" and the Law "On the Corruption Prevention."
According to the Vice-Chairman in the course of the today´s sitting, the Parliament might have solved the issues concerning President´s veto overcoming that was put on the Law on prevention of illegally received income legalization. "Today we were supposed to vote the issue on formation of the Temporary Inquiry Panel formation to investigate the illegal transference into the private property of "Mizhhiria" residence and also great number of issues how rhetoric in "fair and democratic election" was supposed to be proved by the amendments introduction to the Law "On Elections of the President of Ukraine", - he explained.
"Political decision adopted yesterday proves that the initiators have no intention to commence real fighting against corruption and solve great number of extremely important issues", - M. Tomenko emphasized.
